Cadence Sports has a long history of multi-sport management and prides itself on being a full-service sports management company. As managing partners, Gary Metcalf and Brian Leto have 10+ years of combined experience in all facets of successful sporting event management and promotion. Cadence specializes in the planning, promotion and management of single and multi-day events. At Cadence, not only are we passionate about the events themselves, but also the coinciding causes they support and the exhilaration they bring to communities. We truly believe that teamwork and communication breed successful events, as well as rewarding relationships with our partners. In 2008, Cadence managed the production of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure- Birmingham, Alabama in conjunction with the North Central Alabama affiliate. The event proved to be a huge success,as 13,000+ participants raised over $1,000,000 for the fight against breast cancer, and both numbers were new records for the local affiliate. (www.komenncalabama.org) Cadence also currently manages the technical and operational planning and execution of the Lance Armstrong Foundation’s LIVESTRONG Challenge (www.livestrongchallenge.org) series, which raised more than $9.5 Million for cancer research and survivorship initiatives in 2008. This past year, the series was held in Portland, OR, San Jose, CA, Philadelphia, PA and Austin, TX, and we are pleased to be adding Seattle, WA on the schedule for 2009.
