Rita Tateel has been working with celebrities for over 25 years -- first as director of a speakers bureau for a national non-profit organization, then as President of a celebrity booking agency, and for the last twenty-two years, as Founder and President of The Celebrity Source, Inc.
Over the years, Rita Tateel has developed hundreds of relationships within the celebrity community, with her company currently having access to over 10,000 stars of film, television, music, sports and fashion in addition to other “influencers” and experts.
Ms. Tateel has been interviewed and quoted as a celebrity expert in numerous publications and media sources including CNN, The Wall Street Journal, People Magazine, Playboy Magazine, The Los Angeles Times, N.Y. Times, N.Y. Post, PRWeek, USA Today, Complete Woman Magazine, “Daily Variety,” “The Hollywood Reporter,” "E! Entertainment Television," “EXTRA!,” “Financial News Network,” “Arts and Entertainment” network and "Entertainment Tonight" among many others. Rita Tateel is also a dynamic and entertaining speaker who specializes in educating her audiences about the “art and science” of working with celebrities and their representatives. She is a frequently requested guest lecturer at UCLA, USC plus other universities and many professional organizations.
Ms. Tateel has a Masters Degree in Social Work and a Bachelors Degree in Child Development (which she says comes in very handy when working with celebrities).
Ms. Tateel is a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), Los Angeles Visitors and Convention Bureau (LA Inc.), Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, International Festivals and Events Association (IFEA), California Festivals Association (CalFest), International Special Events Society (ISES) and the Entertainment Publicists Professional Society (EPPS). She is also a founding member and advisor to the Association of Celebrity Personal Assistants (ACPA) and on the Executive Committee for PRSA’s national Entertainment & Sports professional interest section. Tateel is also the immediate past president of the Los Angeles Chapter of PRSA (PRSA-LA).
Rita Tateel lives in Los Angeles with her solar contractor husband, Ted Bavin, and their two cats, Maxine and Zack.
